Polar Skate Co. is one of the standout brands in European skate culture, created by the visionary Pontus Alv. Alv, who became a pro skater in the late 1990s, has since spent the 2000s pushing the boundaries of skate culture and creativity with his brand. Along with his other project, Last Resort, Polar has become a symbol of artistic and innovative skateboarding.

Alv's approach to Polar and skateboarding in general is deeply rooted in the DIY (Do It Yourself) ethos. As he’s said, if he couldn’t find functional, well-fitting skate pants in stores, he’d create them himself, or simply make do with what was available. This mindset extended beyond clothing, also influencing the creation of decks, shoes, and other skate-related items. Polar represents Alv’s unique perspective on skate culture—one that is built on community, friendship, and the creative freedom that comes with the DIY spirit.

The brand has grown into a major force, not just in skate fashion but in shaping the broader aesthetic and ethos of skateboarding, combining functional design with artistic expression.
