Reebok's roots trace back to the J.W. Foster and Sons shoe factory founded in 1895. The company was later renamed after the African antelope (grey rhebok) in 1958 by the grandsons of the original founder.
In the early 1900s, J.W. Foster and Sons gained recognition for developing one of the first running spikes. Little did the founder know that the same company would, nearly a century later, collaborate with icons like 50 Cent and Jay-Z.
Reebok's modern history also began in the early 1980s. Many of Reebok's most popular models in the 2020s were originally minimalist designs adapted to tennis dress codes.
